F&B 2015-2016 Edition by Worthy Book Review

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hope each one of you have a great Christmas celebration. 

I have started to feel the pinch on my purse especially during Christmas week as I tend to go out more often to meet up with my friends. At the same time, New Year is coming soon and I am getting more invitation for food outings. Gonna be broke pretty soon. 

Here comes the rescue! Worthy Book have come out with their latest F&B edition for 2015-2016.

It works like groupon, the different is that you got to purchase this book first which cost RM29.90. 

It has a variety of cuisines to choose from with different type of coupons. 

Here is how it works, first pick a location "Midvalley". 

I would flip those pages where it stated "Midvalley". 

Manmaru is at Midvalley! 

Thus, I am able to use its "Buy 1 Free 1 any Udon dishes".

Spotted Manmaru ! 

I am able to choose over 32 varieties of Udon, the free bowl will be either equal or lower value.

I am impressed by their varieties, we took some time to figure out what we want. 

Finally we choose :

Niku Kimchi Udon @ RM 19.90 

Sliced beef with Korean style spicy Udon Soup. 

Ishiyaki Eringi Udon @ RM19.90

Stir fried assorted mushrooms with Udon in Hot Stone Bowl. 

I love the Udon texture, its a bit thicker and chewy than the usual Udon available in the most Japanese chain in KL. Thumbs up from me :) 

Time to pay for the bill, just tear out the coupon and pass it to the waiter. 

Total damage : RM23.90 for two person which includes two green tea @ RM2 each. 

In total per person with drink cost RM12. 

A bargain I would say !! 

Next stop : Dessert @ Komugi 

I decided to use two of out of the four coupons, "Buy 1 Free 1 Creamy Custard Krone" and "Free 2 Macaroons with purchase of any slice cake OR roll cake". 

I choose Honey roll cake @ RM 4.90 and got two free macaroons (Apricot cheese & Matcha flavours), each worth RM4.25.

I love their macaroons, I was surprised that it actually tastes good!! 

Bought one Creamy Custard Krone and got one free. 

I am not a fan of custard but my mum love it. 

Guess what !! I only pay a damage of RM10.30 !! 

The best part is I could share it among 2-3 people. 

Each person cost around RM3.50. 

Good damage: 

This would really come in handy especially when food prices keep increasing these days. 

A savy way to save money and enjoy at the same time ;) 

I have managed to save a total RM33.20 

1. A free bowl of Udon noodle (RM19.90)

2. Two free Macaroons (RM4.25*2 = RM.8.50) 

3. A free Creamy Custard Krone (RM4.80)

I got my return back of RM3.30 since the book cost RM29.90. 

If you continue to use these coupons, I believe you will be able to save much more.

Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake Review @ One Utama

Erhmm... 

It goes like this, Alicia, my friend is with me on a grocery mission in One Utama. 

While heading down the escalator, I saw a big crowd of people queuing towards 

"Uncle Tetsu's Cheese" 

I was so curious...hahaha... actually "kepoh"...

Saw a "FREE cheese cake sign board" 

Quickly ask my friend to queue, while I scout around like an eagle to see whats the catch behind the free cheese cake. 

Nowadays, free stuff literally doesn't mean free!

You got to do this -.-!

I pity those people, who doesn't have a smartphone and data :(

Another thing is to get free stuff, you got to wait really long because of the queue!! 

So before you do queue, think ahead whether your time is worth the wait. 

Since I was with my good buddy, we wouldn't mind the 1 and half hours queue because we could chat along the way and the time just flies for us :) 

Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake takes approximately 40 minutes to bake. 

They bake it freshly every day, thus if is sold out, you got to wait another 40 minutes for the new batch.

Lovely box, simple and nice :) 

I wonder how the real Uncle Tetsu looks like, he looks adorable ! hahaha

Cheesecake-RM19.90

The price tag for such a size is quite worth it ! 

Is enough for at least 5 people..depends how you cut it though hahaha..

Knife is provided in the box. 

Look at it, is so fluffy and moist YUMMY! 

A brief history of Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake. 

Ingredients were listed out, which is good especially for those who is concerned about food allergic. 

And a short advice below it. 

Sorry, is blur. 

They even printed their warming up instruction on the paper box. 

Overall, for cheesecake lover out there, come and try this new Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake! 

A tip for you guys, rather than buying a whole birthday cake from places like Secret Recipe, why don't try buying this cheesecake as a birthday cake that is priced way more cheaper. 

However, this doesn't apply to those who doesn't like cheese cake . ><

Bisou- Under the "10 Simply Addictive Red Velvet Cakes"

Upon reading a post from open rice titled "10 Simply Addictive Red Velvet Cakes", I quickly browse the nearest out of the top 10, which turn out to be at Bisou, One Utama Shopping Complex.

While I was running my errands in One Utama, I secretly drop by at Bisou to take away one red velvet cup cakes. You must be thinking why so secretive, its because I am on diet yet such sweet craving over thrown me *faint* :(

My Verdict: 

The frosting is a cream cheese base, which is too creamy for my liking :( 

On the other hand, the bonus point was this cupcake wasn't so sweet! Its hard to find a cupcakes that aren't so sweet. 

Overall the cupcake is moist and is worth for a try especially for those who are looking for something that is not so sweet ones :)

Delicious @ One Utama Review

Is been a long time since I have visited Delicious @ One Utama.  

I just realised the deco were quite different than my last visit. 

It looks less colourful more oaky..... 

Chocolicious  Pudding - RM 14.9

Nice combination with the warm chocolate fillings with sweet vanilla Ice Cream. 

I like it :) 

Taste : 6.7/10

Carrot Cake - RM 12.9

This is Delicious !! The Layer Cream Cheese were nice with the raisin and carrot taste. 

Taste : 7/10 

Strawberry Cheesecake 

This is disappointing :( 

The Cheese were taste rather very milky. 

 The Strawberry liquid weren't nice, too sourish for my liking.  

Overall : I will definitely come back for their Carrot Cake and Chocolate Pudding :D

Miam Miam @ One Utama Review

Miam Miam were relatively a new restaurant. 

It has a nice decoration and an classic feeling :) 

Their menu were really awesome ! Look at those pictures ! 

The food looks so delicious :P 

Note if you order Souffle you have to wait for 20 minutes ! 

It is freshly Baked :D 

This is Matcha flavour Soufflé-RM16.80

*first time eating Soufflé *

It smell like Chiffon Cake. It taste soft and a bit wet.

Well I couldn't comment much about it as it was my first time eating a Soufflé. 

Overall it was a good experience eating once in my life time. 

French Toast-RM16.80

 I love this French Toast very much. The bread were soft and fluffy. 

Combination of the cream topping and honey syrup with the bread was a BOMB :D

You got to order this ! 

Taste:  7/10 

Damage RM38.98 for two dessert.

Overall the price were relatively on the pricey side but it is a good experience to try some uncommon dessert like Soufflé and eating a yummy French Toast once a blue moon.
