Cafe Chaiwalla & Co. Review @ The Curve

Is a beautiful Saturday morning and here am I @ The Curve in-front of Chaiwalla & Co.

Apparently they are very well known among PJ people or KL people due to their unique design concept which is known as Malaysia very first container Cafe.

Which make me curious whether their unique design is par with what beverage they are offering!

Those who are curious on how they derived their name cafe name "Chaiwalla & Co."

Please refer below:

I straight away fall in love with their beverage system because at last there is a cafe where I can adjust the sweetness level. Is not that I am a diabetes, but hey now people with diabetes can drink here! *thumbs up to Chaiwalla& Co.*

I just cant stand when a drink is too sweet :/

My morning drink : Thai Milk Tea

Verdict: I love the intense thick flavour from the Tea which infused perfectly with the milk.
It definitely taste better than any sort of shop similar to Gongcha or Chatime.

Will definitely purchase this again :)

A little confession to make, I know I have been missing for quite sometime, however I will try my best to update my blog regularly *pinky promise*

Lots of love from,
Elena

2 cups of Coffee :

Taste : 6.2/10

Good thing was it doesn't taste overly bitter :) it was a smooth taste !

It has a bit of milky taste though but overall it was ok !

Those who love their coffee to be on a milkier side, you would love this ;)

Ice Mocha - RM12.90

Quite Pricy.

Taste wise, it taste rather plain.

I wish I could taste the chocolate but I couldn't :(

I only can taste a bit of a espresso.

Taste : 2/10

Roast FactorGlee @ The Club, Bandar Utama Review

Roast FactorGlee a new Coffee House in Town located @ The Club, Bandar Utama !

The beans were roasted on-site which of course a plus point as it is fresher :D

Love their store design concept !

I like their custom made chair and table !

Very solid and tough indeed :)

It also served FATBABY Ice Cream too !

Good choice during hot days :)

Breakfast anyone? :)

According to Eat Drink KL "(the current house blend is two-thirds Indonesian, one-third Colombian)"

Flat White- RM10

It comes white a small chocolate chip cookies, taste crunchy and sweet.

It doesn't have a strong bitter taste that stay in your throat, which I find it good for me :)

Taste : 6.4/10

Mocha-RM11

I love it :)

It is not overly sweet, some coffee shop mocha tend to be so sweet that it cover the taste of the espresso which can be disappointing at times.

Tate : 6.6/10

Cold Brew (Like a Virgin) -RM11

Hmmm... first of all it doesn't taste like coffee, it is more towards fermented (alcoholic) taste.

So if you were looking for coffee taste, don't pick this.

Taste- 5.5/10

Ham Basket- RM15

Lovely presentation :)

Nicely done eggs, the egg yolk oozing out taste delicious !

Nice crunchy bread !

Taste-6/10

No service charge and government tax which I find it reasonable as the price were quite pricy compare to other coffee shop in town :)

Overall, it was a good experience. The staff were friendly.

It has some plug points for you to charge your laptop :)

Good Environment to chill and relax !

Whisk, Outpost @ 1 Utama

Whisk, Outpost recommended by my friend saying that it is worth for a visit for their coffee.

Once I stepped my foot onto the entrance, fragrant of its sweet and bitter smell from the coffee just filled me excitement and hunger for a good cup of coffee !

Some pictures of the surroundings...

( sorry, I promised when I have $$$ I will buy a proper camera >< )

Hey look at the menu !! One EXTRA shot of espresso were just RM1 !! :)

Cold Brew Selection...

Varieties of cake, though were wondering why aren't the cakes in the cooler to retain its freshness ><

My order this time were different, no more cafe mocha but Cold Brew Coffee ! :)

Cold brew or cold press refers to the process of steeping coffee grounds in room temperature or cold water for an extended period. The cold-press process requires grinding: coarse-ground beans are soaked in water for a prolonged period of time, usually 12 hours or more. The water is normally kept at room temperature, but chilled water can also be used. The grounds must be filtered out of the water after they have been steeped using a paper coffee filter, a fine metal sieve, a French press or felt in the case of the Toddy system. The result is a coffee concentrate that is often diluted with water or milk, and can be served hot, over ice, or blended with ice and other ingredients such as chocolate. (Wikipedia)

Cold Brew Coffee-RM10

It was lovely :D

Note that this is my first time trying Cold Brew Coffee and I like it very much.

Slight bitterness combine with fragrant from the coffee bean itself and milk.

A perfect one for those who can't really stand the bitterness of coffee.

Taste: 6.8/10

Secondly, Flat White -RM 10

Less bitter taste from my usual Flat White from Butter + Beans

Overall Taste was good.

Taste: 6.5/10

Note : I spoken to one of the barista and ask them what brand of milk they are using, they told me Farmhouse milk! Were happy to hear that, a good coffee needs to pair with a good quality milk  !

From real experience, Coffea @ The Curve uses Magnolia milk ( no offence, is a much cheaper milk)  the coffee turn out terrible ><

good bean + good milk = WOW Effect !

Best Regards,
Elena

Note : doing an art design on a paper cup were even much tougher ! this barista had some good skills.

Cafe Mocha -RM9

This were much better mocha than Pickle & Fig @ TTDI

It had a strong taste of dark chocolate and not much of a taste of espresso.

Taste : 6/10

Flat White - RM 8

At last a nice Flat White :)

Taste : 6.5/10

Best Regards,
Eileen
