Epicuro @ Damansara Uptown

One thing I love about this restaurant is that you can eat their mains menu from as early as 10 am in the morning !! Tell me which restaurant served its mains such early in the morning??

Another reason for my visiting here were Groupon having offer on this restaurant !! Hurry and get one too -  Click here for Groupon Voucher

Nice place for a lazy morning or afternoon tea break :)

A few pictures of its surroundings

I like this design of its outdoor settings, it remind me of my days in Europe :)

Shinning Cutlery :)

The waiters were friendly and attentive :)

I wasn't ordering any drinks and he ask me whether I would like a glass of water instead !

Note : they didn't charged me for the glass of water.

Here comes my order :

Big breakfast - RM21.90

It was a satisfying breakfast !

The scramble egg was the best I ever eaten !!!

Love the mushroom, beside that they top a special sauce on the tomato and it was a delicious combination.

Others were not bad :)

Taste : 6.8/10

Flat White - RM10

Flavouring but acidic and less coffee fragrant.

It is a different taste among the Flat white I have tried.

The barista approached to us and ask for feedback. A good initiative to understand and improve :)

They uses Sumatra Beans btw thus it is understandable why it taste different.

Taste : 5.5/10

Pork Rib- RM 43.90

I don't really like the sauce. The sauce texture reminded me like the chinese marmite sauce.

But overall, the meat were tender.

Taste : 5/10

Spaghetti Bolognese

Enjoy it very much :D

The spaghetti were cook to perfection, carrot aren't too hard nor too soft and there is lots of meat !

Taste : 6.7/10

With the cash voucher worth RM80 I purchased from Groupon , I only have to pay a total damage of RM43.70 :D

Verdict :

I would definitely come here again :)

Love,
Elena

Fabula My Collagen Drink Choice

First of all I would to apologise for this late post. Many of you have requested me to update as soon as possible. Here is it :)

Well after much consideration, I choose Fabula brand,  Fat Burning Collagen Max.

A few reasons,
- It is made in Japan ( which I trust fully on its quality)

- Contain Garcinia Cambogia Extract ( Which according to Dr Oz, it helps to burn fat in our body)

- Sasa was having promotion Buy 2 free One ( A good bargain especially for the quality you get) xD

- Usual Collagen brand only contain about 5000mg of Collagen peptide, this one gives 9000mg thus pricing wise much steeper.

A drink to start your morning :)

A few info on some Nutrition Facts :

Drink Every 3 days (was quite confuse with this actually)

It mean on the 3rd day drink the collagen.

I usually drink in the morning with an empty stomach because it was believe that it is easier for absorption.

Important note : Most collagen brands require you to drink daily for a week for the start of your collagen intake. Fabula brand doesn't need it.

Summary:

I can't seems to see there is any fat burning result with this collagen ><

I have tried it for a few months and stop for 2 months in between and now I am starting it over again.

Here is my story....

I started to take these collagen during my summer break 2013 (August onwards). Result, my skin indeed does feel brighter and more plump up. I was overall happy with the result.

After taking it for few months, I decided to stop it because I am having too much stress in my studies and I felt my body can't seems to absorb these collagen well. So it is better to stop than not to waste.

After I have finished my final semester exam, I indeed develop a lot of pimples on my right face ><
Thus, I decided to take collagen again to see whether it could help to salvage my pimple and it works!

For me it takes about 2 months to see the effect

Before Picture :

After Picture :

My pimples is recovering !

Verdict :

It depends on your overall body ability whether how much can it absorb.

For example : For my mum, her body takes about 6 months to see the effect.

In my opinion this is like an long-term investment, whether or not that you are willing to pour in your effort and money onto it.

For those who are interested, I would tell you that you will need lots of patience.
You know your own body best, set a trial period for yourself.

If it does work for you, continue to drink collagen.

If you have been drinking for a year and no result, I would suggest you to stop it and try other ways.

Love,
Elena

Whisk, Outpost @ 1 Utama

Whisk, Outpost recommended by my friend saying that it is worth for a visit for their coffee.

Once I stepped my foot onto the entrance, fragrant of its sweet and bitter smell from the coffee just filled me excitement and hunger for a good cup of coffee !

Some pictures of the surroundings...

( sorry, I promised when I have $$$ I will buy a proper camera >< )

Hey look at the menu !! One EXTRA shot of espresso were just RM1 !! :)

Cold Brew Selection...

Varieties of cake, though were wondering why aren't the cakes in the cooler to retain its freshness ><

My order this time were different, no more cafe mocha but Cold Brew Coffee ! :)

Cold brew or cold press refers to the process of steeping coffee grounds in room temperature or cold water for an extended period. The cold-press process requires grinding: coarse-ground beans are soaked in water for a prolonged period of time, usually 12 hours or more. The water is normally kept at room temperature, but chilled water can also be used. The grounds must be filtered out of the water after they have been steeped using a paper coffee filter, a fine metal sieve, a French press or felt in the case of the Toddy system. The result is a coffee concentrate that is often diluted with water or milk, and can be served hot, over ice, or blended with ice and other ingredients such as chocolate. (Wikipedia)

Cold Brew Coffee-RM10

It was lovely :D

Note that this is my first time trying Cold Brew Coffee and I like it very much.

Slight bitterness combine with fragrant from the coffee bean itself and milk.

A perfect one for those who can't really stand the bitterness of coffee.

Taste: 6.8/10

Secondly, Flat White -RM 10

Less bitter taste from my usual Flat White from Butter + Beans

Overall Taste was good.

Taste: 6.5/10

Note : I spoken to one of the barista and ask them what brand of milk they are using, they told me Farmhouse milk! Were happy to hear that, a good coffee needs to pair with a good quality milk  !

From real experience, Coffea @ The Curve uses Magnolia milk ( no offence, is a much cheaper milk)  the coffee turn out terrible ><

good bean + good milk = WOW Effect !

Best Regards,
Elena

After a disappointment visit from Pickle & Fig @ TTDI, I went to try out Artisan @ TTDI

A few pictures of this place, sorry for the bad quality of the picture.

Dessert looks tempting..

A really tired and sleepy Cat spotted on the coach..

Here come the coffee...

A last there is some nice design on my Flat White !!! :D

Note : doing an art design on a paper cup were even much tougher ! this barista had some good skills.

Cafe Mocha -RM9

This were much better mocha than Pickle & Fig @ TTDI

It had a strong taste of dark chocolate and not much of a taste of espresso.

Taste : 6/10

Flat White - RM 8

At last a nice Flat White :)

Taste : 6.5/10

Best Regards,
Eileen

Heritage Village @ Paradigm Mall

Heard some good reviews from some bloggers over the internet and decided to try it !

An over view of this place.

A quick glance on the menu....

Food we have ordered....

Heritage Durian Bubur Cha Cha- RM7.5

It was just so so...

Taste : 4.5/10

Heritage Nasi Lemak Ayam Inche Kabin - RM11.9

There isn't enough flavour on the fried chicken.

Taste : 4/10

Heritage Duck Egg Char Koay Teow - RM 14.9

Too Oily.

You know when it is a good Char Koay Teow, you could smell it when the waiter bring it out from the kitchen. Sadly this no but is still eatable

Taste : 5/10

Chee Cheong Fun - RM 5.9

Disappointing...

The sambal sauce were ok but not for the sweet sauce.

Taste : 2/10

Herritage Lor Bak Platter - RM 12.90

The chicken Lor Bak had too much fat. Century egg not on my liking.

Taste : 3/10

Verdict : Overall the food here is really oily and I wouldn't visit here again.

Best Regards,
Eileen
